"Five measures" for strengthening management of catfish ponds in high temperature period

The aquaculture entered August, with continuous high temperature, and the highest temperature reached above 39 degrees. It was difficult to breed catfish! Problems faced by high temperature:

1. Anoxic floating head, especially flood pond. "Once a floating head, five days are not long; once a flood pond, the whole year is busy", the floating head and flood pond are extremely harmful to catfish culture.

2. Water quality problems, especially sub salt. The sub salt of catfish ponds in the market is generally on the high side, most of which are about 0.4-0.5mg/l, and the sub salt of some ponds is more than 1.0mg/l, which seriously affects the survival environment of catfish.

3. Food problems, especially the first meal. At present, the phenomenon of no food has appeared in the first meal in the market. Some ponds began to eat no food all day, which seriously affected the growth of channel catfish and prolonged the breeding cycle of channel catfish.


1. Oxygenation management

(1) During the high temperature period, the management of oxygen increase is very important; Electricity is a small matter, but once there is flooding, it is not a small money. Adhere to the principle of "start one hour early in the evening, stop one hour late in the morning, and start the aerator frequently at noon". It is recommended to use the three leaf roots blower with the 

 aerator tube, and the bottom is equipped with an aeration disks to achieve the effect of increasing oxygen from the bottom of the pool to the water surface. At the same time, the oxygen increase capacity of one roots blower is far higher than that of the water wheel aerator and the electricity charge is much less than it.

(2) There are often ponds where feeding is difficult and food is not pleasant. It is recommended to regularly sprinkle 3202 near the feeding area in August. The bottom of the pond can continuously release oxygen for 72h. It can be used once every 3-4 days, and half a bag can be used each time.

2. Sulfite treatment

After the follow-up by the technical team of Haida, it was found that the sub salt in the pond exceeded 0.5 mg / L, and the catfish was poisoned. The specific treatment scheme is as follows:

A. When the sub salt is less than 0.5 mg / L, regularly use dibaijian (2-3 mu / bag) + dibaikang (6-8 mu / bag) to change the bottom, 5-7 days / time, and sprinkle 3202 near the feeding area, once every 3-5 days;

B. When the sub salt is > 0.5 mg / L, first use 3201 (3-4 mu of water / bottle), and then use nitramine (1-2 mu / bag) + dibekang / 3202 (6-8 mu / bag) to reduce the sub salt;

3. Stable water quality

The metabolism of high-temperature algae is accelerated, and it is easy to age and die. In addition, the organic matter such as feed residual bait, feces, dead algae, etc. is seriously oxygen consuming. In general, each ton of feed will produce 800-1100 kg of oxygen consuming organic matter. Therefore, it is necessary to adhere to the regular use of Heida Roche 3 + 1 (20 mu. M / group) and the frequency of use in high temperature period is 5 days / time, so as to solve the problems of oxygen consumption organic matter and water quality stability in the pond.

4. Timely pest control

Observe frequently when patrolling the pond, and take a bucket of water along the side. If there are too many insects in the water, kill the insects along the side 1 meter away from the shore when the sun comes out in the morning;

5. Strengthen the physique

During the high temperature period, the digestive function of fish body weakens, resulting in the reduction of feed conversion rate and water pollution; And the worse the physique, the worse the resistance to the outside world. 3103 + 3505 (3000-5000 kg / group) or liver and intestines benefiting health (3000-5000 kg / bag) must be regularly fed for 7-10 days for a course of treatment to quickly restore the constitution of catfish.
