Pipeline requirements of Roots blower:

1. The fan pipes shall be tightly connected without air leakage, and supports shall be set at appropriate positions.

2. The pipe material shall be able to withstand the exhaust temperature and pressure. (try to use steel pipe)

3. The inside of the pipeline shall be clean and free of foreign matters to prevent foreign matters from entering.

4. A one-way valve shall be installed on the pipeline to prevent the return high-pressure gas caused by the reversing of the fan from entering the fan and damaging the fan. Note: the check valve shall be installed on the horizontal pipe.

5. In the case of parallel operation of multiple fans, gate valves must be set on each branch pipe (the pipe can be cut off when one fan is overhauled).

6. Vent valve shall be set on the pipeline to prevent the fan from starting with load. The vent valve shall be gradually closed after the fan is started without load. When running with load and shutting down, the exhaust valve shall be opened to confirm that the fan is not loaded, and then the fan shall be shut down.

Reasons for low air volume of Roots blower:

1. Clogging of the inlet filter of Roots blower: the inlet silencer of Roots blower contains a filter, which has the effect of filtering impurities in the air. Over time, too many impurities are accumulated inside, and the air volume will be reduced if the inlet is not unblocked. Therefore, we need to clean the inlet filter regularly to keep the air inlet unblocked.

2. Belt slip: even the belt with good quality has a long life, and the belt should be replaced in time. In addition, the V-belt should be adjusted at intervals during use. If the belt is loose, the belt will regret slipping or insufficient air volume of the fan. If the air volume is insufficient due to the pulley slipping, it is necessary to adjust the pulley or adjust the distance between the pulleys.

3. Pipeline air leakage: Roots blower is a pipeline fan, which conveys gas through the pipeline. If the damaged gas flows into the air, the air volume will be insufficient. Therefore, the on-site staff should do a good job of inspection in time. If the pipeline is damaged or leaks, it should be repaired in time.

4. The pipeline is too long: the pipeline is too long and the pressure is insufficient, which will also lead to insufficient air volume. At this time, the pipeline needs to be reset.

5. Too low voltage: the unstable voltage and current will cause the roots blower to not operate normally and stably, which will also be the reason for the small air volume. Therefore, after the installation of the roots blower, check the current and voltage of the line to ensure the stability of the voltage.
