By increasing the oxygen content in the water body, the normal growth activities of cultured animals can be ensured. The traditional idea is that the aerator is only a "fish rescue machine" to deal with sudden hypoxia. In fact, it is not. The aerator is actually a "yield increasing machine", which is the basic guarantee for improving the aquaculture output. Choosing a high-efficiency oxygen increasing mode can reduce the cost, reduce the risk and increase the benefit to a great extent.


There are various types of aerators, including water wheel type, vane wheel type, water jet type, etc. After many years of practice, compared with the traditional oxygen increasing method, microporous aeration has great advantages in oxygen increasing efficiency and energy consumption. It has a significant effect in aquaculture production and is recognized and adopted by the majority of farmers.


1、 What is microporous aeration aerator


Microporous aeration aerator, also known as microporous aeration oxygenation technology, is a new type of oxygenation technology after the traditional water truck type, vane wheel type and water jet type. It is composed of roots blower,aeration tube and aeration disks. The roots blower is used to press the air into the gas transmission pipeline. The compressed air enters the aeration disks through the plastic hose and is dispersed into the water in the form of microbubbles. In the process of microbubbles rising from the bottom, part of the oxygen is dissolved into the water, causing the upward and downward convection and rotation of the water flow, so as to realize the exchange between the upper and lower layers of the water body and uniform oxygen increase.


2、 Advantages over traditional aerators


1. The upper and lower layers can increase oxygen, and the oxygen increase is three-dimensional and efficient


Microporous aeration is to discharge air directly from the bottom layer of the water, which can significantly improve the dissolved oxygen content of the bottom and middle water bodies. In addition, the bubble can drive the bottom water to flow upward during the floating process, so as to realize the exchange of the upper and lower water bodies and realize the uniform oxygenation of the whole pool. Since the bubbles discharged from the micropores are very small, the contact area with the water body is large, and the dissolution capacity is stronger, the oxygen increasing speed and efficiency are very high.


2. Improve water ecological environment and prevent water quality deterioration


Some studies have shown that the ammonia nitrogen and nitrite in the water body aerated by microporous aeration are lower than those of the impeller type and the water wheel type. Whether it is a water wheel type or a vane wheel type aerator, the oxygenation effect on the underwater bottom layer is relatively poor, especially when the water level is more than two meters, so the bottom water is prone to hypoxia and deterioration. Microporous aeration can make up for this deficiency. It directly increases the dissolved oxygen in the bottom layer by discharging the tiny air from the bottom of the water body through compression; It can also bring the bottom sewage into the upper layer with high dissolved oxygen, and then through the nitrification of bacteria, convert the ammonia nitrogen and nitrite into harmless nitrate for utilization by algae, thereby reducing the content of ammonia nitrogen and nitrite.


3. Low energy consumption per unit area, reducing breeding costs


Compared with the water wheel type, vane wheel type and water jet type aerators, the microporous aerator has the fastest speed and the best effect for the same area of water and the same power. In terms of power demand, roots blower only needs 0.1-0.3kw per mu, which is only 30-40% of that of traditional oxygen increasing equipment, greatly reducing energy consumption. Moreover, with the increase of water depth and the constant ventilation, the dynamic efficiency of microporous oxygen increasing will also increase.


4. Low noise and high safety performance


The traditional oxygen increasing equipment is directly installed in the water, and the noise is large during operation, causing certain interference to the fish and shrimp. There is a risk of water leakage in the motor and cable, causing potential harm to the fish and shrimp, and the maintenance is inconvenient. The power system of the microporous oxygenation equipment is installed on the bank. Only the gas hose and microporous gas tray are in the water. The motor cable does not have the risk of water ingress, and the maintenance is convenient. The noise generated by the machine has little impact on the aquatic animals, especially the cultured shrimp and crab, which can reduce the stress response.
